Maligaon-Kamakhya Flyover
Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday laid the foundation stone of Assam's longest flyover connecting Maligaon with Kamakhya Gate and Pandu in the city.
The proposed 2992-metre-long flyover will start from Maligaon and end by crossing the Kamakhya Temple gate on the Assam Trunk (AT) Road with an extended arm to the road leading to Pandu Ghat.
The Assam government will construct the flyover with a cost of Rs. 420.75 crore from State Owned Priority Development (SOPD) fund 2020-21 within 36 months.
It is expected that the flyover will reduce the traffic congestion in the city.
