Karbi Students Association (KSA) led by Bijoy Bey on Sunday called for an economic blockade of Nagaland from November 17.

This blockade has been called for to protest against the unabated encroachment in the Karbi Anglong by Naga people. These encroachment activities have increased from the month of October. They frequently entered the district’s Daldali Reserve Forest to cut down trees.

KSA leader Simeon Rongphar had also called for a four-hour economic blockade on November 20 in case the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and the Assam and Nagaland governments fail to hold a talk on the border dispute.
