To provide education to the deprived classes, the central government has invested around 59,000 crore during the period of last five years in Assam. This was informed by Ramdas Athwala, union Minister of State For Social Justice and Empowerment.
He also stated that various schemes implemented by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in Assam, the central government provides 60 percent of the total fund and 40 percent comes from the state government.
The Union Minister futher added that this share of central government will increase by 5% every year until it reaches to 80%.
The Union Minister also endorsed the Assam government for initiating several welfare schemes in Asam for the betterment of deprived class.
