As Farmers At Delhi Border Continues Protesting, Manipur Government Procures 5 MT Organic Orange From Farmers

Amid the protests by a chunk of farmers at the Delhi border based on the wrong assumptions, the farmers in India's Northeastern region are reaping the advantage of several initiatives by the government.
 
 
 
With an objective to raise the income levels of Farmers in Manipur, Manipur Agro Pvt Ltd., with an agreement with MOMA (Manipur Organic Mission Agency) regulated by the Manipur government, have procured 5 MT(Metric Tone) of oranges produced by the farmers of Manipur.
 
 
 
 
This was informed by the Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh in a tweet on Twitter. 
 
 
 
 
 
According to the tweet, the oranges procured from farmers will be put on a promotional sale at organic outlets in Imphal, and the buyers can purchase these organic oranges at the cost of INR 90 per kg.
