Ahead of the Assam Polls, the centre has seemed to ensure that the state earns the most benefit from the presently ruling government. In order to build a prosperous Assam, the access to formal banking, affordable credit and support to entrepreneurs have started to transform itself and even the state’s economy.
Three more schemes had been sanctioned with the aim of empowering Assam’s Economy- Mudra, PM Jan Dhan Yojna and Stand-up India wherein multi-phased development is ensured in the economy.
A total number of 75 lakhs and 1.8 crore people seem to be benefitted in Assam under Mudra and PM Jan Dhan Yojna scheme wherein the total amount that has been disbursed is over Rs 30 thousand crore. There has been a steeping growth in the number of RuPay card issued under the PM Jan Dhan Yojna leading to around 1.1 crore.
A huge sum of Rs 300 crore has been sanctioned as financial aid in the name of the state entrepreneurs under the Stand-Up India Scheme to boost the economy of the region.
The Prime Minister Narenbdra Modi said, “We are steadfast in our efforts towards Assam’s development based on the requirements and aspirations of the state’s dynamic people, preserving Assamese culture and protecting local bio diversity.”
