As many northeastern states are witnessing the peak in daily covid cases, the Nagaland government is now surrounded with another trouble. The Nagaland in-service Doctors association is about to hold a strike starting from today.

The association will be holding strike for the fulfillment of the demand to increase the superannuation age of doctors in the state.

However, the chief secretary had written a letter to the association asking them to withdraw their strike as health services are an integral part of daily lives and halting this would bring serious health crisis as the state is witnessing COVID pandemic.

The Chief secretary also assured that the matter of increasing the superannuation age of doctors is being discussed by the cabinet and there would be a proper solution to this very soon.
