The influential BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma was barred by the election commission from campaigning for 48 hours on the alleged threatening to Hagrama Mohilary case. The minister has responded to the election commission.
While responding to the letter of the election commission, Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that some newspaper had tried to put misleading headlines against him, showing that he has threatened to put Hagrama Mohilary in jail.
Himanta Biswa Sarma said that on Hagrma Mohilary, he responded to the query of a journalist where he was asked that if any connection between Hagrama Mohilary comes out, what action would be taken action against him? Replying to this, the minister had stated that if any link is evident, then Hagrama would have to go to jail.
