Tripura: Multi-Cornered ADC Polls Held Largely Peacefully With A Voter Turnout Of 80%

The voting for the 8th general elections of Tribal areas autonomous district council was yesterday which recordset around 80% voter turnout. 


 

Elections for the 28 seats of ADC took place yesterday where a large number of the indigenous population of Tripura exercised their voting rights.

 

Around 8,65,041 voters were eligible to cast their votes on the 1,244 polling stations across the state.

 

The ADC elections in Tripura witnessed a multi-cornered contest with the BJP-IPFT alliance in the fray facing the challenge from Tripura royal scion Pradyot Kishore-led TIPRA and INPT.
