As the election results in West Bengal gave TMC a thumping victory with BJP emerging as a distant second, several reports have been flooding in about the attack on BJP workers and offices in Bengal.
The BJP has alleged TMC workers of unleashing the post-poll violence against BJP. According to reports, at least 12 BJP workers have been murdered in Bengal since the poll results were declared.
According to BJP, two women polling agents of the party had been gang-raped and molested in Birbhoom, Bengal.
As the violence against BJP workers is still underway in Bengal, BJP President JP Nadda will visit the state today.
The BJP has also planned to hold a nationwide protest against the political violence on BJP workers in Bengal.
Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has sought a report from the West Bengal administration on the post-poll violence in West Bengal.
