Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently Said that “History cannot be created by governments,but it’s built on true events”. While releasing the book ‘Maharanas: A Thousand Year War for Dharma’ by Omendra Ratnu at the NDMC Hall.
Shah asked society to present history in its true form. It’s sad how people forget those battles fought by the Indian kings against raiders. Shah also reminisced about those battles fought by the Ahom kings in Assam and Shivaji in Marathas that made India remain as an independent state.
In the pursuit of RSS and the BJP proclaimed that history books were written by Left historians and those who take no notice of the immense benefaction of Hindu kings. Shah has always been requesting writers and producers to work on reflecting the real story behind every historical event.
Shah mentioned that will really be grateful to watch more works on these historical heroes and he also mentioned about his presence in the screening of television serial ‘Vidrohi’, life of Odia freedom fighter Buxi Jagabandhu and recently he also showed up at the screening of ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, a biopic of ruler Prithviraj Chauhan.
Shah warned that writing history will not be an easy task, as there will be lots of debates and deliberation but the result will be a fruitful one as the upcoming youngsters will be listening and accepting it. These will create an awareness among them and they will be going deeper in search of the real truths.
But if no steps are taken to save this glorious past, it will be erased with the passing of time. Many significant events were forgotten as the dust of time fell on them. As some of the events are not being documented in a proper format.
Shah sadly mentioned that there are no books on dynasties like Pandyas, Ahoms, Chalukyas, Mauryas, Guptas, etc. If people don’t come to know about these heroes it will be a disheartening event. Many false rumours are spread against many dynasties and it can be erased only by putting lights into the real truths.
Shah also added that these raiders have tried to invalidate the culture, customs ,traditions, language and wants the whole world under their assistance but it will always be a prideful event to remember all the sacrifices given by our great heroes and it’s high time to preserve all these great events and light it in the history so that our coming generations too respect and understand their values. And by preserving them we are giving a tribute to their heroic deeds.
