Manipur: Schools, colleges to reopen from November 10

Following the considerably low COVID-19 positive cases over the past few months in Manipur, the state government has decided to reopen the schools for students studying at Class 9 and above from November 10. as per order, Students should not be forced to come back to the campuses and only those who receive parental consent can attend offline classes. According to a SOP, teaching hours for both online and physical sessions should be limited to three to four hours and no cultural or sports events will be permitted for the time being. Meanwhile, all non-vaccinated teaching and non-teaching employees, even those who have just received the first dose will be subjected to RT-PCR tests every 20 days, order stated. The order instructed the deputy commissioners (DC) to lead district-level task force committees to oversee the resumption of courses at all educational institutions.
